Terms &
Conditions

At DeMoss Custom Builds, we believe in clear communication and transparency for every project. We provide detailed terms and conditions upfront, outlining the scope of work, timelines, costs, and expectations to ensure there are no surprises. By fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding, we build trust with our clients and create a smooth, stress-free experience. With us, you’ll always know exactly what to expect—quality craftsmanship, honest practices, and a commitment to doing the job right.

1. Deposit Requirement
To secure your project and confirm scheduling, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total project cost is required. The deposit is due upon signing the agreement or acceptance of the project quote. Once received, this deposit guarantees the project will be scheduled and materials will be ordered. The deposit will be put towards the total cost of the project.

2. Cancellations
If you choose to cancel your project, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. While the deposit is non-refundable, we will work with you to reschedule or adjust the project scope if necessary. For cancellations made after the project has started, additional charges may apply for materials or labor already incurred.

3. Payment Schedule

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is due upon agreement.

  • Progress Payments: For larger projects, progress payments may be due at predetermined milestones or intervals (e.g., at 50% completion). These payments will be outlined in the project agreement.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project, before delivery or installation of the final product. If you are not satisfied with the project at this stage, we will work with you to address any issues, but payment will still be required in full unless otherwise agreed.

4. Late Payments
If final payment is not received within 14 days of project completion, a late fee of $100 per 14 day period will be charged on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to suspend or halt work if payments are overdue, and additional fees may be incurred for any delays caused by non-payment.

5. Project Timeline
Completion times are estimated and may vary depending on the complexity of the project and availability of materials. We will provide an estimated timeline upon project commencement, but delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, shipping delays, material shortages) may affect the project’s completion. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible.

6. Changes to Scope or Design
Any changes to the scope of work, design, or materials after the project has started may result in additional costs or delays. Such changes will be discussed and agreed upon in writing before proceeding.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee
We take pride in the quality of our work. Upon completion of your project, you will be asked to sign a completion agreement that states that both parties are satisfied with the project. If you have concerns about the project after completion, please let us know within 14 days. We will make reasonable efforts to address any issues or concerns. However, once payment has been made in full and the project has been delivered or installed, no further refunds or adjustments will be provided unless otherwise agreed upon.

8. Indemnification
By accepting these terms, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DeMoss Custom Builds LLC against any claims, damages, or losses resulting from your use of the completed work, including any modifications you make to it.

9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Florida and any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate court within that jurisdiction.
